Name: Ventus
Canon: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and Dream Drop Distance
Canon Point: After Dream Drop Distance
Sex/Gender: Male
Actual Age/Apparent Age: 16
Belongings: Keyblade, two or three healing potions, armor, clothes. He won’t have much.
Skills and Powers: His talent would be his cheerfulness and the ability to make friends with most people. His skills would be speed and agility like you won’t believe.
Powers would include his keyblade, which he can summon, and the attacks he can perform with the keyblade. I will be limiting one of his attacks and sealing the others, making him unable to use them. If he's in a fight and he needs to use an attack, he'll probably use Cyclone or Wingblade as a last resort. Wingblade is the attack I'd like to keep but I'll limit it so that he can't do too much damage. Cyclone, he won't use. A list of some of his other attacks that have been sealed are as follows: Pulse Bomb, Multirvortex, Dark Link, and Fever Pitch. Generally, he'll try to avoid fights and beyond using his speed and agility, probably won't use anything else. He can use light and wind magic too.
Physical Description: A little on the shorter side, about 5'6" and athletic build, weight ranges from 138 to 142. He's blond with bright blue eyes. He carries himself well, not with full confidence or pride but with a willingness to try anything and an ability to accept most situations. He looks for the best in every situation and the positivity shows in his face and his posture. He generally wears loose clothes, mainly black and white, as they are his favorite colors. On his left shoulder is a metal armor plate. When he touches this, he becomes covered in a protective armor.
Book Description: Book: On the front cover, there will be a large Keyblade Master sign with a keyhole in the middle of it. Below it will be strange pillars with what appear to be covered in stain glass windows. The whole cover is a sea blue. On the side, it reads "Kingdom Hearts: BBS & DDD" although it won't be clear what those stand for unless you look at the first page.
Bookmark: On the front is the symbol of a heart with wings. It has a keyhole in the middle of it and a green star above it. On the back is a strange sword that seems to be made out of keys pointing down. A little charm hangs from the top, in place of the normal string. A second charm dangles a little further down on a separate chain.
History: His history is here. He is completely canon up until DDD. I'll be focusing more on that so I'll go into more detail below.
Important note! I haven't actually played KH 3D Dream Drop Distance but I read the spoilers. As far as I can tell, it looks like Ventus will be waking up soon so I'm playing him shortly after that, when he's recently awaken.
Here's a little idea of what happened. Ventus awakens in the Chamber of Waking, his heart returned to him by Sora, who is only there in a dream, as in Dream Drop Distance. Alone, he has to figure out how to get out of the Chamber but it takes some time. As he doesn't immediately find the Star Shard Aqua left behind for him (she hid it so no one could steal it if they found the room) he'd begun to think he'd be trapped there forever. That frightened him and now he dislikes being alone, especially at night. Also, having been asleep for so long has had an effect on his body. Now, he takes frequent, if short, naps and can sleep almost anywhere. Occasionally, if he's really tired he'll fall asleep at random intervals, like in the middle of conversation or while eating. He can use the power of his keyblade but it leaves him weak as his heart still isn't fully healed. His personality is much the same, although he's developed a cautiousness concerning his past and anyone he knows, especially Aqua and Terra.
Personality: He's cheerful generally to a fault, although occasionally some worry manages to drive that cheerfulness away. It isn't gone for long however, and soon he's back to his normal, happy self. He is also very curious; he wants to know a little of everything and loves to talk. He tends to get really excited about new things and loves learning about them. He's very kind and sweet to people, especially to those he doesn't know. He easily makes friends, although Terra and Aqua will always hold a special place in his heart as his best friends. He's always looking to make new friends, so any chance he gets, he tries to befriend someone. He isn't able to cope with betrayal easily and it hurts him deeply. He could possibly forgive such a betrayal but it would take time and his trust would need to be earned back. He is very brave, willing to risk his life and his heart in order to fight and protect his friends. Still, he has a childish side and while he doesn't mind being spoiled by Terra and Aqua, he dislikes that he isn't allowed to follow them everywhere, even if they're doing it to keep him safe. He doesn't mind being the youngest, though, in fact enjoying it as it means he gets special attention from the two of them. He doesn't get angry often but when he does, it's like a switch. He can flip it and rage at someone and then suddenly turn it off so he can deal with any situation that might be at hand. Once that situation is over, however, the switch will be flipped again.

Hi. Heeeeey. Anyone there? [Ven taps on the bookmark a couple of times] Hey, how do I work this thing? Am I doing it right? I don't think this is working… Hey, if I get a broken thingy, is someone going to replace it? Yes? [Hopeful tone--waits a few seconds] No? [Defeated tone]
Seriously, I have no idea how to work this. It's not like I'm dumb or anything, okay? I just--what is this? And how come it doesn't come with instructions or a number to call or something? I could use some help here! [Waits for someone to reply--no reply comes] Aqua~ Terra~ Somebody, please! [Tapping it again] Help me figure this ou--oh hey. I think I'm getting the hang of it. Let's see… Oh. Oops. I put it on mute by accident. [Sheepish grin] Sorry about that! Hello? Oh, hey. Finally, I seem to have gotten someone. Hi there. I'm Ventus but you can call me Ven. Um, I'm new to this place--world--whatever this is. Can you help me?
Third Person/Prose:
He woke up in a long hallway filled with doors. Each door was black, some opening to a brick wall or an immovable wall of books while others wouldn't open at all. He continued walking along, wondering how he could have gotten here and where 'here' was. At one point, he remembered to check all his pockets but while he discovered he still has a few healing potions left, the Star Shard was suspiciously absent. So wherever he was, he couldn't get off this world. That was disappointing but he was quick to adapt to the situation. He continues walking down the hall, still trying doors, but nothing changes. It's quiet here and he can't help but wonder if he went from one bad situation to another. He doesn't want to be alone here any more than he wanted to be alone when he woke up. The corridor ends and opens up into a small courtyard that appears to be a marketplace. Well, a rather old, battered one.
It isn't dusty or dirty, in fact, it's surprisingly clean. The buildings are of an older design, however, and some are crumbling. Others have fallen apart or have holes in the walls. A large bit of concrete falls off a building and lands on a table, denting it. An old fountain stands in the middle of it, having long since dried up. A lot of stores are lined on either side of the street. Most are book stores or something related to books. He can't help but chuckle at the sight of it but the sound that echoes back is a sad, lonely laugh. What if this is his life from now on? What if he's stuck here, alone, forever? Something shifts and his eyes widen as he gazes what he can only describe as a giant leafy stick bug. He quickly darts inside, trying to get away before the creature sees him. He watches through a window as it moves from one bush toward a park, moving slowly like a sloth. It takes a long while but finally it's gone. It seems that he won't be completely alone here but he's not sure if he'll like the company. There's more to explore though, more to find in this place, and until he finds his Star Shard he's stuck here. He might as well make the best of the situation. Across the street, a door bell chimes and he's surprised to see a book appear in front of it. One moment it was empty and the next it was there. Checking to make sure the coast was clear, he darts across the street and eagerly snatches up the book. To his surprise, the title reads "Kingdom Hearts" and the bookmark in it has a charm of two of his keyblade's forms. Strange… He looks around but there's no one in sight. Yet he can't help but feel that maybe he's not as alone as he thought in the place. Maybe there's hope yet he'll run into someone.
