However, he's a bit AU as he diverts from the canon point after DDD. At the end of DDD, Sora find the Chamber of Waking in a dream. He can talk to Ventus, despite him still being asleep, although his voice only in his head. They talk about how Sora's been looking for Ventus, who says he hasn't moved. When Sora mentions it's been ten years since he went to sleep, it comes as a great shock to Ventus. He asks what happened to Terra and Aqua but Sora doesn't know. About to wake from his dream, Sora opens his heart and asks how he can help Ventus. In doing this, he allows Ven's heart to return to him. However, before Ventus can awaken, Sora vanishes, waking from his dream. He forgets all about the dream on waking, although he has the feeling he should be helping someone. Meanwhile, back in the Chamber of Waking, Ventus wakes to find himself completely alone. Alone in a white room with no discernible way out, he searches for almost five hours to find a hidden passage or doorway to let him leave. Unable to find one, he begins to panic, worrying about what will happen to him if he's trapped there all alone. He spends another hour tormenting himself with his thoughts before he finally breaks down crying. One of his tears splashes on the Wayfinder charm Aqua made for him, a green glass star. It activates, glowing, and that leads him to a small hidden panel in the throne, which contains a Star Shard. This he takes and finally leaves the Chamber, but not without consequence. Those several hours spent alone in that room, convinced he'd be trapped there forever, left a small emotional scar on his heart. He now can't stand to be alone for too long and hates sleeping alone. He's afraid to go to sleep alone, for fear of waking up back in that Chamber. As for his memory, that's a different story. Despite his heart residing inside Sora's body for the past ten years, most of it's a blank. Fuzzy images occasionally surface but before he can concentrate on them, they vanish. As such, he has no knowledge of Kingdom Hearts, the World That Never Was, Nobodies, or the current Heartless. The Heartless he knows of were the original ones, stronger versions called Neoshadows. He also does not know that the Land of Departure is no more, merely thinks he cannot access that world. Regarding the memories before he fell asleep: the first memory he has is of Xehanort right before he passed out, an evil smile on his lips. Most of his memories are in tact during the time he spent in the Land of Departure with Aqua and Terra, as well as traversing to other worlds, including a few that he didn't visit in canon. The memories of the time he spent with Master Xehanort he did regain but they're rather jumbled up. Finally, the time before he was with Xehanort, his family and his home world, all of it's a blank. Xehanort tampered with his memory. None of that will ever be coming back, no matter how hard he tries to remember. | APPEARANCE Ventus is about 5'7 with blondish yellow hair. He has brilliant blue eyes, which are usually a bright clear blue. They can darken with his mood so if he's upset about something or if he's in love/lust, they tend to darken to a royal blue shade. He doesn't have many scars, aside from a small keyhole shaped mark just above his heart. This is where Master Xehanort put his keyblade in his chest and ripped his darkness out of him. He doesn't advertise it's presence, preferring for people to think of it as a birthmark rather than admit how he got the scar. It's very sensitive to touch and it could easily be used against him. Because of it's origin, it is also connected to his heart so a direct hit to it could do serious harm. His body is otherwise virtually flawless, although there are a couple scratches here and there from sparring and training. He prefers black and white shirts, although never checkered if he can help it, as he thinks he looks like a referee. Tan or black pants are another big favorite of his. Regardless what color his clothes are, he always gets the baggy clothes. Loose clothing tends to come in handy during a fight, as long as it's not too loose. He has a small build and an athletic but thin frame. He's muscular but it's lean muscle, as he's better built toward speed and agility than actual physical strength. PERSONALITY He's cheerful generally to a fault. He likes to smile and laugh, greeting everyone he meets pleasantly. He wants to be on friendly terms with most people he meets, which contributes greatly to his helpful persona. He isn't always cheerful, however. Occasionally some worry manages to drive that cheerfulness away. It isn't gone for long however, and soon he's back to his normal, happy self. Like when Vanitas first tells Ventus that "Terra is going to disappear" Ven gets worried, which sends him chasing after Terra; but even through all this, he's still cheerful when he meets new people and gets to know them on other worlds. He often helps people when he travels to other worlds. He likes helping others and wants to be useful. He is also very curious; he wants to know a little of everything and loves to talk. He tends to get really excited about new things and loves learning about them. He's very kind and sweet to people, especially to those he doesn't know. He easily makes friends, although Terra and Aqua will always hold a special place in his heart as his best friends. He's always looking to make new friends, so any chance he gets, he tries to befriend someone. He also has a protective streak in him. Because of his general helpfulness, he can't stand by and just watch as someone's bullied. However, he won't actually react aside from trying to help/talk unless he knows the person. If someone he knows and cares about is threatened in anyway, he goes out of his way to see to the threat. This doesn't necessarily mean he'll get violent but he will do everything in his power to keep the people he loves safe. He doesn't cope with betrayal easily and it hurts him deeply. He shows this by how he deals with his former mentor. He could possibly forgive such a betrayal but it would take time and his trust would need to be earned back. He is very brave, willing to risk his life and his heart in order to fight and protect his friends. Again, this is shown in the game when he literally sacrifices himself for his friends. Still, he has a childish side and while he doesn't mind being spoiled by Terra and Aqua, he dislikes that he isn't allowed to follow them everywhere, even if they're doing it to keep him safe. Whenever Aqua or Terra tell him to go home or to stay behind, he is obviously displeased. He doesn't mind being the youngest, though, in fact enjoying it as it means he gets special attention from the two of them. He doesn't get angry often but when he does, it's like a switch. He can flip it and rage at someone and then suddenly turn it off so he can deal with any situation that might be at hand. Once that situation is over, however, the switch will be flipped again. | |||

| WRITING/VOICE SAMPLE: Going to try my hand at what I think his introduction would be like if I'm accepted.
Ventus woke in a strange room he'd never seen before. It was bare but for the markings on the wall, which were of the Master Keyblade. There was a large throne in it, which he found himself seated on. He felt as if he just slept away half of his life, which he supposed he had. Memories, faint and fuzzy but undeniably there floated to the surface of what had gone on while he was asleep. The fate of his friends, of Aqua and Terra, made his heart heavy. Terra, the brother he'd never had and his best friend, had been swallowed by the darkness. He recalled Vanitas' warnings to him, how Terra would disappear and now he was truly lost to him. He doesn't know all of what happened, only what little he witnessed before his heart found Sora and joined with him. Terra was possessed and both he and Aqua fell into the Realm of Darkness. Unable to follow them without his heart being destroyed forever, he sought out a way to heal himself and found Sora, who took his heart in. He doesn't know what happened to them after that but he's sure he'll find out. First, he has to figure out where he is and how to leave this place.
He stands on shaking legs and looks all around but sees no door, no exit. How had he come to be here? The memory is too vague for him to recall the details. He searches for an exit but can't find out. There are no hidden panels, no secret passages, no trap doors that he can find. Swallowing his frustration, he fights the urge to yawn and instead shoves his hands into his pocket. There, he feels something and pulls it out, surprised to see the Star Shard. For a moment, he just turns it over in his hands, studying it as the memories of it come flooding back. A small smile ghosts across his lips. This is it, this is what he needed. Here it was, here was his ticket out of this strange room. As if answering the call of his heart to leave, it glowed slightly and then he was being sent to another world. Belated, he remembered King Mickey mentioning something about controlling the Star Shard. Having not thought about controlling it, he hadn't thought of where he was going. He was being sent to a random world, one he might know nothing about. He squeezes his eyes shut and waited to arrive. Moments later, he found himself in this new world and he blinked, surprised by what he saw. He'd never seen anything like it before. What was this place?

I love the colors. There's so much to see during this season! The air is crisp and sweet, just cooling from summer but it doesn't have winter's bite to it yet. The leaves turning colors and falling off so that they make crunching sounds when you step on them. Trudging through those leaves is the best.
